Fry Food Fry Food
Fry Food from £15.00
Our Fry Food is fed to over 500,000 Koi Fry every year at Cuttlebrook Koi Farm, the UK's leading breeder of Koi Carp. Every fish we produce has been fed this food during their development, giving them the perfect start in life.   Crushing up food to feed your fry? Feeding your fry crushed-up food (even “high protein” diets) can have a detrimental impact on the growth of your Koi fry. Most used feeds on the market contain around 33-40% protein, however, this is inadequate for the needs of developing fry, regularly leading to bent spines, tails, curled-out gill covers, and incorrectly developed fins. Our Fry Food contains 56% protein. High-quality food is a must To avoid any development issues, high-quality fry food is a must! We advise feeding this diet until the fish are at least 3” inches. Even after this stage, a high-quality diet of at least 40% protein is still required to ensure the best growth and development from your fish. Pellet Size Guide As a rule of thumb, a Fry between 0.5-1.5 inches (1-3cm) will eat 0.5-0.8mm Fry Food, and a larger Jumbo Fry between 1.5-2 inches (3-5cm) will eat 0.8-1.2mm Fry Food. Pure Pond Pure Pond
Pure Pond from £19.95
Pure Pond is the Award Winning bacterial product that helps to maintain crystal clear and healthy pond water. For best results add the PURE POND balls into a filter bag and place in the biological section of your filter in an area of water flow. 500ml of PURE POND will treat a pond up to 10,000 litres (2,200 UK Gallons). PURE POND are biodegradable balls, crammed full of live bacteria and enzymes that when added to your pond filter get to work breaking down Ammonia and Nitrite, whilst cleaning up organic waste. The bacteria and enzymes are slowly released when they are needed most to address biological issues in the pond that are often the cause of poor clarity. PURE POND balls work particularly well within the Nexus filtration system helping to smooth out any peaks and troughs in the Ammonia / Nitrite cycle. Simply add the balls into you biological chamber, ideally held within a filter bag, where they will agitate alongside the K1 Media. When using PURE POND balls as a maintenance product, especially when added once a month into your filter, the balls will help to maintain crystal clear and healthy water. Please note PURE POND is not intended to clear green water. An appropriate UVC is recommended to clear green water. Bacteria and enzymes delivered in gel-like balls Maintains crystal clear and healthy water Breaks down ammonia and nitrite Cleans up organic waste Reduces filter maintenance and cleaning Ideal for use as a maintenance product Suitable for use in all types of ponds Add to filter for best results
Fluke-Solve 100g
Fluke-Solve 100g £54.95
Unlike Fluke-Solve Plus, standard Fluke-Solve can be used in a wide range of fish including Koi Carp, Sturgeon and Goldfish. 100g pack - Suitable for treating 25,000L (5,500 gallons) Fluke-Solve is: Easy to use – it dissolves readily without having to use boiling water or solvent Safe for the fish and for other creatures in the pond or aquarium Economical Science based data to confirm the efficacy of the medication. Contains 50% praziquantel Fluke-Solve® contains 50% praziquantel, and its unique rapidly dissolving formulation means you can see it dispersing through the water as soon as you add it to your pond or tank. It successfully treats skin and gill flukes (Monogenean species), eye flukes (Diplostomum species) and intestinal tapeworms, even by immersion, and can be used in a wide range of fish including Koi Carp and Goldfish. It is suitable for both freshwater and marine systems, including in the presence of salt when added as a therapeutic, and is even effective from 3°C. Fluke-Solve® is safe with biofilters and plants, as well as shrimp, snails and frogs, and can even be used to treat parasites on shrimp. Flukes belong to the group of parasites known as  Monogean trematodes. The most common kind affecting pet fish are the Dactylogyrus and Gyrodactylus species. Cestodes or tapeworms are internal parasites which affect a wide variety of fish species including Koi Carp, as well as aquarium fish such as discus.  How to use/dosage  Use at a rate of 4g powder per 1,000 litres (220 gallons) of pond or tank water. Simply take a clean container of the pond or tank water and add the required dosage of Fluke-Solve® to it, then stir. Immediately add this stock solution to the pond or tank, and then rinse out the container with the pond or tank water and add that as well. If necessary, a separate tank can be used to treat the fish for a treatment period of at least 24 hours. Take care to turn off skimmers while it is in use since they will remove the praziquantel from the water, as will modern filtration systems which use carbon derivatives, or some drum filter technologies. The praziquantel in Fluke-Solve® will persist in a pond or tank for at least 3 weeks, so in the case of some egg-laying flukes repeat the initial dose after 3 weeks to ensure the active ingredient is in the water long enough to kill any hatching fluke larvae and break the cycle of infection.

Fluke-Ex 100g Fluke-Ex 100g
Fluke-Ex 100g £54.95
FLUKE-EX® is a new unique product developed by Fish Treatment Ltd for use in ornamental ponds or tanks, with a number of benefits compared with existing products. It has been priced to give significant savings. Efficacy has been demonstrated by extensive clinical trials to confirm it treats skin and gill flukes including all the resistant strains of flukes (where other treatments have failed) but it can also be used to treat Trichodina, Costia, tapeworms, roundworms and crustaceans such as Argulus (fish lice). It can be used in the presence of salt. It uses the same proprietary technology as the Fluke-Solve range so the method of administration is the same – simply rip, tip and stir. However in the case of gill flukes which lay eggs, as with previous products a second treatment is recommended after 3 weeks to break the flukes’ life cycle. The product is now indicated specifically for use in Koi ONLY. While Fluke EX may be suitable for use in other fish species, such use should only be undertaken under the guidance and supervision of a veterinary surgeon to ensure the safety and well-being of the animals. It is effective from temperatures from 3c. Simple to use, safe and effective.

HI-707-25 Nitrite Low Range Checker (0-999 ppb) spare reagent 25 tests.
HI-707-25 Nitrite Low Range Checker (0-999 ppb) spare reagent 25 tests. £24.95
Reagent for HI -707 Nitrite Marine Low Range Pocket Checker This reagent is for use with the HI-707 nitrite low range pocket checker and provides enough for 25 tests. The HI-707-25 are high-quality reagents that are pre-measured, allowing for users to achieve fast and accurate measurements with their Nitrite Low Range Checker® HC. These reagents follow the Diazotization Method in which the reaction between nitrite and reagent causes a pink tint in the sample. By simply adding the packet of HI-707-25 reagent to the sample, the reaction will take place and the HI-707 will determine the concentration from the colour that is produced. The results will be displayed in ppb of nitrite. These reagents are designed to be used with samples that have an expected range of 0 to 600 ppb nitrite. Tip for an accurate measurement It is important that the sample does not contain any debris. Whenever the cuvette is placed into the measurement cell, it must be dry outside and completely free of fingerprints, oil or dirt. Wipe it thoroughly with HI-731318 or a lint-free cloth prior to insertion. Shaking the cuvette can generate bubbles, causing higher readings. To obtain accurate measurements, remove such bubbles by swirling or by gently tapping the cuvette. Do not let the reacted sample stand for too long after reagent is added, or accuracy will be lost. After the reading, it is important to discard the sample immediately, otherwise the glass might become permanently stained.
